Hāora Tūturu is both vessel and living form. Its folding surface draws from the porous structure of a marine sponge and from the continuous movement of water, lineage and memory.
Carved from pakohe, the work holds a connection to whakapapa, geological history and the responsibilities carried between generations. The interior and exterior move into one another, creating a form that appears both grounded and fluid—an enduring stone body shaped by the rhythms of the ocean.
